Weiss • Walter • Fischer-Zernin also advises its clients in matters related to intellectual property rights, including cartel law. We take energetic and systematic action to combat unfair behaviour by competitors of our clients, taking the necessary steps for effective defence both out-of-court and in court. We also advise our clients in the planning of their advertising activities and help them to defend themselves successfully against any unjustified accusations of unfair competitive practices.

We support our clients in national and international registration of eligible intellectual property rights, in particular the registration of patents and trade marks with the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA), the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Marktet (OHIM) and the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO). We also advise our clients in all matters of patent and know-how licensing and draw up licence agreements for this purpose.

We also offer clients expert advise in matter of IT, computer and internet law. That includes drawing up software licence agreements, escrow agreements and settling domain law issues.

In cartel law, we mainly provide advise in matters of merger supervision by the EU Commission and the German Cartel Office, and of abuse of dominant market position.
